Appel de communications – Call for papers

Le troisième atelier annuel Changement et variation au Canada (CVC III) aura lieu à l’Université York les 20 et 21 juin 2009. Organisé par des étudiants, cet événement réunira des chercheurs et chercheuses travaillant dans le cadre variationniste à un établissement canadien ou sur une variété de langue parlée au Canada. Nous encourageons tout particulièrement les étudiant(e)s à soumettre une proposition.

Les conférenciers et conférencières auront vingt minutes pour livrer leur communication (en français ou en anglais), après laquelle suivra une période de questions de dix minutes. Les propositions ne doivent pas dépasser 250 mots (sans compter le titre ni la bibliographie) et doivent être envoyées en version anonyme, en format PDF ou Word, à l’adresse cvcanada2009@gmail.com au plus tard le mardi 31 mars 2009.

L’objet du courriel doit indiquer : Proposition de communication – CVC

Dans le corps du message précisez les renseignements suivants :

1) Le titre de la communication,
2) Le nom de chaque conférencier ou conférencière,
3) Le département et l’affiliation de chaque conférencier ou conférencière,
4) Le numéro de téléphone et l’adresse de courriel de chaque conférencier ou conférencière.

The third annual Change and Variation in Canada (CVC III) workshop will be held at York University on June 20-21, 2009. This student-led event will bring together researchers working within a variationist framework on Canadian language varieties or at Canadian institutions. Students are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts.

Presentations (in English or French) will be 20 minutes long followed by a 10-minute question period. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words (not including title and references) and should be submitted to cvcanada2009@gmail.com by Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Please submit an anonymous version of the abstract in PDF or Word format.

The subject heading of the e-mail message must indicate: CVC Abstract Submission

The body of the e-mail must include all the following information:

1) Title of the paper,
2) Name(s) of the presenter(s),
3) Department and affiliation of each presenter,
4) Telephone number and e-mail address of each presenter.
